James S. Rickards Middle School serves the Oakland Park Community and is in it's 26th year! A three-time recipient of the Golden School Award and 3rd consecutive year receiving the Five Star School Award, Rickards received a grade of "B" from the State of Florida for the 2006-2007 school year.

"The mission of Rickards Middle School is to provide a directed learning environment that is challenging and relevant to students of all abilities."

What's Happening?

Something's always going on at Rickards! 8th Grade Dance & DVD, Yearbooks, Rickards School Financial Report for 2006-2007 now available, Box Tops for Education contest, BCHS Dodgeball Championship, SAC/PTSA Meeting schedule and more. The Rickards Athletic Department is proud to offer a variety of sports for your child to participate in as well as a number of various clubs and organizations.
